about E-Learning - take the tour - benefits of E-Learning

E-Learning is a method of delivering instruction and assessing student learning by way of the Internet. While still in its infancy, over the next few years we will see E-Learning develop to be a major learning and assessing device.
  STUDENT ID

You will establish a student ID number and you will nominate a password. These are required each time you access the site.

  STUDY MATERIALS

The study materials are then provided and you can start your learning straight away. Study materials are posted to you in hard copy and include: Student Workbook and the Manager's Guide to the Sale of Liquor Act 1989.

  ASSESSMENTS

The course is structured in small modules that are assessed as you complete them. The in-course assessments are completed on-line, the results being available immediately. A pass for each module requires 100% accuracy. If you do not pass an in-course assessment then you simply access it again after studying weak areas. You can access your assessment record at any time to see how you are progressing.

Once all the assessments have been successfully completed you are then able to arrange to complete the final exam. The final exam is conducted verbally over the telephone and will test underpinning knowledge of the subject. All questions must be answered accurately. If the verbal exam is not completed successfully you will be guided as to further study requirements and, when ready, you will be re-tested. Having completed one unit you are then able to progress to the second unit, complete study, assessments and final exam.

  TRAINING CERTIFICATE

Once both units are completed successfully we will post a certificate of training to you and apply for your LCQ.

  CLAIMING THE UNIT STANDARDS
We will register your success with the New Zealand qualifications authority and the units will be recorded on your record of learning.
